Interferometrics seeks qualified candidates for the following position in support of the Department of State. This is a new contract offering longevity and stability, as well as the opportunity to impact mission-critical initiatives. Please note that all candidates must possess Secret clearances active within the past two years, either current or eligible for reinstatement. Experience supporting the Department of State is desired, but not mandatory. Positions are based in Arlington, VA but some travel may be required.
Technical Telephone Systems Trainer
Position description:
Successful candidates for this position will have the responsibility to train DoS Information Management Specialist (IMS), Information Management Technical Specialist (IMTS), Diplomatic Security (DS) and employees from other U.S. Government agencies on a variety of telephone systems and related equipment. .
Experience & Certifications:
• Background and working knowledge of engineering, standard installation practices, operation and maintenance procedures are required
• Nortel CS1000E: the course instructor needs Background and Knowledge of Nortel Meridian Family of switches including CS1000E Call Server. Vendor Certification is required.
• Background and working knowledge of Nortel Meridian Family of switches such as 11C, 51C, 61C, and 81C PBX systems at Succession 3.0 or higher. Vendor Certification is desired.
• Advanced Nortel Meridian, Call Pilot, Digital Trunk Interface and Primary Rate Interface (DTI/PRI) and Optivity software and procedures. Vendor Certification is desired for these items.
• Business Communications Manager (BCM). Background and Knowledge of the Business Communication Manager Telephone Switch is needed by the course instructor. Vendor Certification is desired.
• Call Accounting Systems -Background and working knowledge of Call Detail Recording for Business Communications Manager (BCM) and Meridian Systems. Ability to work with and configure third party Call Accounting Systems such as Phoneware CallBill.
• The course instructor needs background and knowledge in Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) to include a working knowledge of routers.
• Key system background and knowledge of the key systems is desired.
• Telephone Security -Background and working knowledge of Tempest, Operational Security, Communications Security (COMSEC) and Telephone Security Group (TSG) principles are desired.
• Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) certification is required within 90 days of starting work.
